Flash Back Arrestors are essential on Gas Equipment set ups as they stop a Flash Back from entering the Regulator and Gas Cylinder.
If a Flash Back reaches the Gas Regulator it will cause irreperable damage to the regulator and could cause an explosion. If the Flash Back ignites gas in the cylinder, this would constitute a VERY serious incident and the local Fire Brigade will need to be called.
